
EL PASO'S GIANNA PIELET ATTENDS USTA GIRLS' PLAYER DEVELOPMENT CAMP
The USTA recently announced a USTA Girls Player Development Camp in Boca Raton, Fla., March 19-22, 2015, that El Paso-area junior Gianna Pielet was selected for.
Lead National Coach Richard Ashby along with National Coaches, Anibal Aranda and Maureen Diaz will help conduct the camp at the USTA Player Development National Training Center. The camp consisted of players born in 2002, 2003 and 2004, and allowed both player and coach (in this case, Gianna's coaches Doug Pielet and Jack Sharpe).
Pielet recently won the USTA Winter Nationals Girls 12s singles and was a finalist in girls' doubles. With that victory, she moved to No. 1 in the country in Girls 12s. She's currently No. 4 in the country in Girls' 12s singles.
